I am trying out a new photo slide show presentation on our web photo section. Take a look at the Holiday Rally Sun-N-Fun 2010 photos by clicking on the above "Photos" link  and let me know what you think. At this time I don't think I'll go back and redo all the past photos, but I can incorporate this in future ones.

We have a commitment from Lazydays to provide one hour of free labor at our January Lazydays rally. Of course any parts that are used will have to be paid for. This turns out to be a better deal than Randy from the factory can provide for a rally this size. If you haven't signed up for the rally yet, the sites are filling up quickly, so give me a call and let me know your registration is on the way.

Hi all SE Members, I am sending this news blast to you from the SW Chapter, that high lights some of the great things that they are offering in Vegas.  I wish Doty & I was able to attend, as this is a rally with a new theme and will be very informative.  Unfortunately our coach is in Decatur having the sidewalls replaced.  The appointment was made 3 years ago, and was just bad timing, but not much we can do to change it.  We have only 8 members registered for the rally and I hate that so many are going to miss a great rally with some really hands on education.  Please take a look at your schedule and if it is at all possible register and go…  SE has a pre-rally scheduled in Laughlin, NV at the very nice RV Resort AVI Casino.  Stew and Mary Macfarlane, VP will be hosting the pre-rally, and representing the SE Chapter at the National.  The timing will be just right to go to the National and on your way back home stop at Wesley Chapel, FL Quail Run RV Park for our Chapter staring on the 4th of Nov and leaving on the 7th.

We know our ACA Rallies are “All About the Fun”, but the Las Vegas National Rally is also lining up to be one of the most Informative you have ever attended.  Here’s a brief sampling.

·      Spartan’s Mike O’Neil and Cummins’ Dale Eddy  will conduct a 4-hour Spartan/Cummins on-site workshop.  With three different coach vintages to work with, Mike and Dale will go through the ins and outs of our coach chassis and powerplant.  This workshop will be a first for our ACA Rallies!

·      Cummin’s Dale Eddy will be available to check your Cummins engine for Campaign Updates.

·      Terry Farber will moderate a 2-hour Yahoo Live Chat Forum including a great panel lineup:  Chip Aiken, George Borecky, Kevin Mallory and Pete Smoot.  Come with your questions and be prepared for great discussions!

 ·      Other interesting seminars include Tires and Tire Safety/Emergency Procedures; Satellite receivers and HDTV by the VP of Motosat; the Silverleaf Engine Monitoring System; Batteries; RV Water Filters; and a number of other topical sessions.

·      For the gals, we are featuring a Spartan Chassis for Women seminar that has received very positive feedback.  Also, we will have a hands-on Microwave/Convection Oven workshop put on by actual users…two of our ACA members!  Of course, the ever-popular seminar on our Splendide Washers & Dryers will be a must do, plus look for a Ladies Round-table session as well as other interesting seminars.

A number of excellent Vendors are coming…some of whom have never been to an ACA Rally!

We’ll also be rolling out a new ACA Member Benefit:  You can purchase new Discover, Odyssey and Harris Batteries at dealer cost.  HOWEVER, during this rally only, you will be able to purchase these batteries for an even better, below-dealer price!  Harris Battery is the OEM supplier to both Spartan and Fleetwood.

Fleetwood RV and RV World of Yuma are planning on having Six brand new American Coaches to show at this Rally along with Two pre-owned American Coaches.  We’ve been told they will be bringing some unique door prizes, too!

Of course, Randy and his crew will be there to fix up to SIX items on your list, as time permits.

On the fun side. don’t forget our ACA-only Texas Hold ‘Em Tournament.  This tournament will ONLY be open to our ACA members and vendors.

The Sam’s Town Live Monday Night Football Party will feature huge, live-action TV screens, hot dogs and beer or soft drinks, and lots of fun.  Also, a number of brave souls have already signed up for the NASCAR Ridealong.  And, the Day Spa is receiving a lot of interest.

Finally, Sam’s Town has just made additional RV spaces available to our Rally, so we will be able to park everyone here at Sam’s.

Our Las Vegas ACA National Rally should have something for everyone.  We’re looking forward to seeing you there!

Jim Graham, President SEACA

Happy Wanderers have promised a great National Rally, so let’s all get together and see what they have!!!  You are not getting any younger and the fuel costs are not getting any cheaper.

The savannah Rally is going to be just the start of a great rally season, so please take a look at the time line and the activities, and register for this rally and the pre-rally in Rapid City.  We will only be in Rapid City for 2 days, but if you would like more time, you can get there earlier or come back after the National rally in Gillette.  This area is a fantastic part our American History and everyone should see it.

Getting to the pre-rally is going to be more than half the fun.  We have 1800 miles to enjoy the comfort of our coaches and see a whole lot of the country with our fellow SouthEast members.  This rolling rally will be easy going and very unstructured, so if you would like to come along, include your answer on the rally sheet for the Savannah Rally.  If you will not be able to attend the Savannah Rally, send me an email or a phone call and we can pick you up along the way.  I am in the process of finalizing the itinerary now. The rally form for Savannah is on the web site and the pre-rally form will be this week.

Remember it is all about fun….

 Jim Graham, President

Well, here it is at the end of my two years as your president. I want to thank all of you active members for your support.  By attending the SEACA rallies you kept the organization alive and vibrant. By holding this office I was able to get to know many more of our members, which made the time I spent as your president very worth while. You are a great bunch of RVers and it has been fun. I will continue to administer this website.  Jim Graham will be a great president and I'm sure he will have all of your best interests in mind in the coming year. Hope to see all of you at a rally soon.

Dan Lee

The Flagler Beach Rally Photos are now posted on the Photo section of this website. The fall rally in Naples, Florida location has been changed. The Signature park that we were going to use has closed and the rally has been moved to the Pelican Resort in Naples. The Disney Holiday Rally has been firmed up and booked. Due to the cost we have decided to make it a 2 day rally with an option to stay at Disney longer if so desired. With all the Disney decorations and festivities it should prove to be a great rally.

Hope to see all of you at our PreRally and the Texarkana National rally in May. If not have a great summer.

As you probably have noticed I have published an updated website for the Southeast Chapter. I think you will find this one is more pleasing to the eye and easier to navigate. It also incorporates the new American Coach Logo. Let me know what you think. All suggestions will be appreciated.

Thanks,  Dan Lee Website Administrator

Posted : 09/03/08    Rallies and Registration

It sure is nice having the Mobile rally behind us. All of you volunteers, thank you again for a job well done. Everyone should be returning home from their summer trips soon. I hope all your trips were fun and enjoyable as expected. SEACA had originally planned on having a rally in early November, but the interest was low and we didn't want to draw anyone away from the National Rally in Tucson. Our next rally will be our Holiday in Sarasota at the Sun N Fun complex December 4th - 7th. Linda and Gary Mau along with Cortney and Gary Webb will be your rally hosts, so you know this will be a good one. The registration forms will be mailed out next week in the September newsletter or it can be downloaded after next week from this web site. Sign up early, since we only have a limited number of sites. Look for the January Lazydays registration form in the October newsletter

The weather was beautiful, the guests were the best and and great time was had by all. I've posted some of the pictures of the rally on the photos page of this web site. Take a look.
