SEACA’s Vice President and one of its strongest supporters, Ray Shea, has been involved in a terrible accident while riding his bicycle in Lucedale, Mississippi. The accident occurred in the early morning of June 23. He was taken by helicopter to the shock trauma center in Mobile. On the morning of June 24, he had surgery on his severely injured neck. The injuries include a broke neck and extensive damage to vertebrae and discs. His wife, Pauline, has been unable to see or speak with him. It is estimated he will be in the hospital for at least a week.
The Shea’s sincerely appreciate everyone’s thoughts, prayers, calls and texts. While we all care deeply for Ray and Pauline, it would be very helpful if any contact could be limited to cards at this time. Calls and texts should be on hold until Ray is able to come home and speak with folks himself.
The SEACA organization will attempt to keep you posted on major changes as things develop.
Again, the Shea’s thank you for your concern, thoughts and prayers. Please keep the prayers and cards coming.
